When you power it off, how long is it before you try it again where you notice it is dead? Is there a reason you power off the phone?

As I am in Singapore for family visit w/ phone service suspended however I am using a Wi-fi connection for internet applications. I turn power off when I have no need to use phone, I might add that last night I had the phone completely charged & set to stand by, 12 hrs later the phone is again completely dead. I might also add that this issue has only started upon my arrival in Singapore, the discharge rate seemed normal during the 24 hr plus trip over here.
The phone shows a 100% charge when I remove it from the charger, I would hope that my location should have no bearing on my location, as there are applications that I want to use.
Thanks for your help

When you say that you "I turn power off when I have no need to use phone", are you physically powering off the phone, or just setting it to airplane mode? If you are putting it in airplane mode to shut off the phone / mobile data side, but using wifi, I would look at your apps that you have installed. Because you are in another country, 1 of your apps may be trying to connect back to the US, and cannot, which would drain your battery. When your battery is low, click on SETTINGS | BATTERY, and see what app has the highest percentage of use, and that may tell you what is going on.
