Disconnecting from a network?

New user here.  I logged onto what I thought was the local free network in an attempt to spare my battery, but ended up directed to a sign-in page.  My problem is that now I can't access any internet, and all attempts just boot me straight back to the sign-in page.  How on earth do I disconnect and get back to the original setting?

Vicki if you can tap your menu to Go to settings-->then go to Privacy & Security Clear the Cache then Back out of there then Hit the Home Button and then do a Soft Reset. On your Phone.. b33

Sound like you have a network that restricts web access, try disabling wifi or clear the settings for the network..

1. Goto Settings / Wifi / Toggle swith off

2. Goto Settings / Wifi / Press and hold network name / Select Forget Network
