Really blows for some of us that just bought the RAZR last week and were coming from another carrier (so I qualify).  Grrr....

no one said you had to buy right away

its always cheaper to wait a time

especially with the holidays so close, deals will be coming

I have been with verizon for three years and wasn't eligible for an upgrade cause I got the bionic and just added a line to receive the phone for.01$. Awesome! Much thanks to the poster for this link

I was wondering if anyone else had seen this deal. I was previously with Sprint but after constantly getting dropped calls in my house (worst time being when I need to report my lost credit card), I decided to switch to Verizon. Yes, maybe Sprint has unlimited data but the locations in which you can actually use that are limited (if you live in a smallish town like me, that data plan means nothing). I saw on a Verizon map here that surprisingly, not only do I have great coverage in my area, but 4G. I figured it was probably wrong but decided that I wanted a 4G phone anyways (I not only have 4G though, I find it hilarious that a much larger nearby town doesn't!)

Amazon has always been my one-stop online shopping place and when I saw the 1 cent Droid Razr, I was blown away. It's the same kind of deal I took advantage of when starting service with Sprint with an LG Rumor and figured to take the same path this time. Even more surprising for myself...I didn't have a deposit (had one with Sprint though...weird). So, except for my Sprint ETF, I got this phone for one cent. Very amazing deal though as others have said, too bad I won't be able to use it when it's time to upgrade. They have to put those sort of limits on I suppose so as to not monopolize the market; naturally everyone would buy from them as opposed to directly from their wireless carrier but yes, it's a fantastic site to look into whenever you're looking to change carriers.

Also to add if you have an HHGreg they will match Amazon's prices!! I upgraded and they matched the 230 price for Amazon. and I was grandfathered in to the New every 2 thing, and verizon never told me. Well HHGreg applied it and I ended up getting the phone for 200!
