From what I've heard, that's the Razr's biggest con. You can check the specs and reviews here:

If you wanted the best battery life, the Droid Razr Maxxx sounds like the way to go. A ridiculous 21 hours talk time!

a Few things you can do on your Razr to extend the battery life.
1) Turn off Blue Tooth if you are NOT using it
2) Turn off Wi-Fi if you are NOT using it
3) Download an APP from Google Play called LTE On/Off or LTE Toggle and change your phone from 4G to 3G if you are NOT in a 4G area as your phone will continue to search for the 4G network draining the battery
4) Disable any of the pre installed Apps (Bloatware) that you are NOT using as these use both Battery and Data
5) download an app called Onavo Count and go to such apps you do use (facebook) that are always trying to sync information and change the data usage configuration to only sync when on Wi-Fi
6) if you are using Smart Actions make sure it is set correctly. I have used Smart Actions and it was one of the largest battery hogs on the phone
7) if you want to see which apps are using your battery download and use Battery Widget. it will tell you your level of charge as well as what has used the battery

The ones I have disabled are as follows (your list might be different if you use any of these though)
Amazon Kindle *
Google Play Books
Google Play Movies
Google Play Music
Google + *
MOG Music
My Verizon Mobile *
Netflix
NFL Mobile
Slacker *
Slingbox
Social Location
V Cast Tones
Verizon SSO Engine
Verizon Video *
VZ Navigator *
The ones with the * next to them were also some of the largest users of data on my Razr and I do not use any of these. Since disabling my Battery lasts longer, and my data usage is way down.

Is there a reason you got the RAZR as apposed to the RAZR MAXX? Just wondering as the only difference is the battery life.
As far as your battery issues with the RAZR, if you click on the APPS tray | SETTINGS | BATTERY, what are the first few entries and their percentage?

What is your screen brightness and timeout settings? Maybe turning down the screen brightness will help?

I do recall if you said which RAZR you had, the original or the MAXX? Either way, those are great numbers.

I have both and these numbers were from the Razr and NOT the Maxx
My Maxx has been unplugged since yesterday at 8 am pst, and right now It is showing a 60% Battery life left. That is also after 2 hours of phone calls, some app updates and some web surfing and a lot of text messages and emails.

My max did just great after disabling the apps. I have a good strong Data signal in both 3g and 4g, it uses less battery and much less Data. The warning message is there in case you turn off one of the vital apps (Android OS or Display or something like that).
I have not had any freezes, no forced closed apps, no delay in service or apps popping up or open. Again, you need to know what you are disabling on this and I wouldn't just disable things because you never physically open them. If you do not know what it is do some research and you should be good.

From my post on the 20th, I ended up getting 3 days, 12 hours and 27 minutes out of that charge, and put it on the charger finally with 14% battery life left.

I just glanced at it from your post (I will deep dive into it shortly). I will definitely try the things that are listed that I have NOT already done. Want to try to stretch my 3.5 days to over 4 days (just because) but I am still happy with the life I am getting from a charge there.
Thank you for pointing me to the info there. I am sure it will help many on here (including me).

Well i always pulled my batteries down to were there is 5% left on them then i read this but it wasn't the First time that i was made aware of doing this: But with the issue i had with my Incredible about 9 months ago when i let the phone go down to were i completely depleted the Battery was a Mess i got it charged up Jake but when i went to turn it on it was stuck on a Continuous start up Boot Loop and wouldn't go to the Main Screen till i did F.D.R. on it then it worked again but that kind of put a spook into me allowing my phones to drain to were they were completely Dead..b33
