Droid Razr M issues......Please help!!!

I upgraded to a Droid Razr M in September of this year. At first I noticed no problems because I was coming from a "Refurbished Droid X2"  but now I keep loosing service. My 3g (I'm in a area that doesn't have 4g yet) disappears and I have no bars at all. My husbands Razr Maxx works fine and my MiFi works fine......most of the time. Any sugguestions????

Also, My default ringtone that i have through "ring tone maker" app won't work. It automaticly goes back to a verizon ring tone. When I am on Facebook, I cannot post my status at all (I can go to "status shuffle" on Facebook and post that way or I can upload a picture but as far as just writing on a wall.....not happening.) The phone tells me Facebook had to force closed when I try to post to a status.  I also cannot get any of my games to connect to Facebook. I specificly told the sales person that I love playing games through facebook and he said I wouldn't have any problems with that at all. Is it the phone or Facebook? How can I find out?

Now I know sometimes it's your browser you use. I was using Chrome and recently downloaded firefox. Still, nothing has helped. I'm beginning to think I got a bad phone.......AGAIN!!!  By that I mean I started out with a HTC incredible that was sent back apprx 8 times in the 2 years under contract. They upgraded me to a Droid X since I was having so many problems with the HTC. Then it got sent back several times, They then upgraded me to the Droid x2 which worked for a while but went down hill quick. Now all these phones where refurbished phones and I know that I would be "lucky" to get a good one but my Droid Razr M is brand new and it's really becoming disappointing.....ANY HELP???? It's only 34 days old.......

I believe the problem your having is because out of the box my Razor M was set to global network, when in actuality it should be set to cdma/lte. I was switching from 3g to no 3g/4g and just a few regular bars around my town. took it to a verizon store a few hours after I bought it and they switched it to the correct network. Theyalso informed me that if you switch to airplane mode and then back out after its engaged it will find the nearest tower. Hope that helps my phone has been 4g ever since.

I switched it to the cdma/lte network a little while ago. It lost all signal so I powered off and restarted the phone.  It gave me an error and asked if I wanted to switch back to global.  I have 0 signal and no 3g on the cdma/lte. I'm back on global now and still lost......

Another problem that i have is that i cannot log into my account through my phone for support replies????? I have to use my laptop to reply and i don't understand why. I logged in with the same credentials that I use on the website and it tells me my password is not correct. Tried it 4 times.

This is an ongoing problem.  Seems like Verizon uses two separate forum systems and they do not share login information very well.  FWIW I can't log in from my mobile phones either.

I would also like to know why when I get a phone call from a land line my voice echos. It repeats everything I say back to me and it's driving me nuts!!!! PLEASE someone help!!!

I tried sending you a DM and it won't let me. Says I have to insert a contact when I already did. Yes I am still having the issues with the Droid Razr M and I am not at all happy about it. I'm to the point that I don't care if this bill hits my credit or not but I'm seriously thinking of switching to At&t or something. What they H_ll, It's Christmas Everyone is going to have deals out. I pay way to much for these devices to get the service that I am getting. My Droid Razr M updated the other day and now I can use the status info on Facebook but I have all kinds of trouble using any of the games which I choose this phone for. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it don't and when it doesn't then  I have no idea whom I'm playing games with because it's not connected to Facebook.

My phone will also lock up now forcing me to shut it down and restart it to get it to unlock.

Also, if someone calls me from a landline there is a bad echo in my voice when I talk back to them. I absolutly cannot stand that!!!

Also, I do alot of business on ebay and my MiFi connection is so slow that I'm seriously considering going back to dial up because I live to far out to get DSL and satellite internet is awful also. Plus I would save so much money!! Time doesn't matter cause I'm already spending all of it trying to get my stuff on ebay to make the money to pay this bill.

I was also told that my bill would be apprx $25 cheaper each month if I switched plans over to unlimited talk, unlimited text and so many gb data. I'm paying  more than I was but I really have to watch my data now and that's hard to do when my only income comes from ebay. It's sad because I cannot switch back to 1400 mins and unlimited text and data. I rarely talk on the phone but I have to have internet if I'm going to continue selling on ebay. I'm really disappointed in Verizon. I've been a customer of yours for years. The bill has not always been in my name (it was in my husbands) but that shouldn't matter, We still paid the bill! A friend of mine has 3 smart phones on her plan with unlimited everything for less than $150.00 a month thru AT&T and all we have are 2 smart phones and we pay considerably more.......That's sad!

Hmmmm, Sent you a DM several days ago. No reply yet. I have been researching what android phones will work on prepaid. I don't care if Verizon tackles my credit right now. I have more important things to worry about.

1) my bill is only supposed to be around $180 (according to the sales person when I re-contracted my phones)

------------I'M PAYING $226!!!! Which is $26 higher than it was before NOT $20 CHEAPER!!!

2) The MIFI internet SUCKS!!! I sell alot on ebay. I'm on the Verizon network for 3 hours trying to leave my feedback for my customers or upload new items to my account. I have recently learned (because I have LIMITED DATA NOW & I could not use my phone or MIFI) that it only takes me apprx 30 mins on a friends computer and they have windstream DSL. Sad thing is, I can't get windstream DSL because I like living in the boonies where they don't know how to upgrade the telephone lines and can't afford to move to town!

3) I am so sick of watching my phone "loading" and waiting and poor customer service that is getting me NO where! I don't have time to sit and wait when I have other things that I need to get done. I'm posting on here to have proof of what poor service I am getting so maybe......just maybe others will see it and know they need to go to a pre-paid service or AT&T or T-Mobile or Sprint!!! I'm seriously lost. Once I find a good smartphone that i can use on Straight Talk then I am so out of here and you can add Verizon to my credit list that has a dozen others on it. Good luck getting any early cancellation fees either once I change banks!

4) If this is not clear enough for you, how about this. I have paid last months bill, If these issues are not fixed before next months bill is due, when we are supposed to have 4G in this area then I will switch. I'm buying a phone tomorrow to test the waters.....Can't believe I'm paying for 4G service and don't even have it yet. Every where north and south of me has it but here..................BOONIES...............REMEMBER???

@ christina glad u decided to help this person why wont anybody help the post before. the one where over 60+  people had cracks appear on their phone. guess that would be 2 pricey for yall to fix. same old verizon...i sure do miss alltel where customer service was actually priority

I am not sure what is going on with the Verizon system but It really sucks. We have kept an eye on our data usage since we changed plans. Every month it's been right around 5gb. This month it is just about used up (at 8gb) and even though we all have our data turned off it is still using it.....WHY? We are not receiving anything other than text messages. We are not on the internet which is killing me in my Ebay business since this is my only connection to my Ebay account. Seriously thinking about changing to AT&T since know one cares to help at Verizon. I guess they will have to file 13 my bill because they ain't getting it from me if something doesn't change in the next week.

OK!!!! I'm done with verizon!!!! I had a payment arrangement set up via their website last month. They turned my service off! I then got it turned back on and now I'm refusing to pay the Reconnect fees of $15 per line ($45) They had rather tell me that I owe that $45 then get payment in full for the month of December.....Make sense......Greedy Bastards!!! I've DM messaged 2 of the "customer Service reps" on this forum and neither has gotten back to me. The rep that I talked to just now decided that "I" didn't have time to trouble shoot my phone for any issues. How the hell does she know if "I" have the time or not!!!! Since she didn't want to help me, I told them to refund the $15 for 1 reconnect fee but GOOD LUCK getting paid the other $242 and that just one more thing added to my credit that is soooooooooo far in the negative that it's not going to matter anyways.

Sad that they wont take off $45 for a $200 payment that I was prepared to make today over the phone. Guess I'll take that money and go to another carrier which is what I suguest everyone else does!!!!

Just wanted it noted:

Last month I set up a payment via Verizon Wireless website for a check to be deducted from my bank account on December 17, 2012 for payment in full. I have an email as PROOF. Verizon decided that on December 15, 2012 they would terminate my service. (they couldn't wait 2 flippin days!!) I called them when my phones were turned off. Explained to them I had a payment arrangement via the website and "according to them" that didn't matter because I had not called them and let them know that a payment arrangement had been made. HELLO!!!! Is this not "VERIZON's" website? Is it NOT connected to VERIZON??  In the past I was told that you could not cancel a payment arrangement via the website. The rep said I was told wrong and they cancelled the payment arrangement, took my payment over the phone and charged me reconnect fees.

Now my whole point is........ It is NOW January 18, 2013. NO payment arrangement has been set up and I STILL HAVE MY SERVICE ON???????? Someone PLEASE explain to me why I get disconnected for having a payment arrangement but not for NOT having one?????? Verizon is scamming so many people out of money!!!! I'm not paying the bill! I took my verizon money and bought new phones with another carrier and will save about $130 per month in doing so!!! IT'S A SHAME that a company thinks they can just run all over people just because they know EVERYONE knows who they are!!!

Wow, your having multiple issues. I found myself here because my phone was connecting to 3G instead of 4G at my home which I know is a 4G area. I tried the suggestion of turning on and off Airplane mode. It would connect to 4G for a few seconds and then back to 3G. I powered the phone off and then back on. That solved the problem. Now I'm on 4G. I have no idea why this worked or why there was a problem in the first place. I hope this information helps someone else if their experiencing the same problem. Smiley Happy
