Go to all apps -> my files, find your sd card, find the movie files and just tap on it to play.
Also, if the videos are compatible, they will show up in the Gallery app.
Do you know what format the movies are?

VIDEO_TS is the folder where the movie files are located on a DVD. They will play on a DVD player and your PC, but I doubt that they will play on your phone. Try it and see. I convert my movies to mp4 using Handbrake and they play them with MX Player.

bigsugar, like breezex said, copying the content directly off a DVD to SD card will not work as your phone will not play the video. You will need to use a program to convert the video to a compatible format such as .mp4 or .wmv and then move to the sd card for the phone to play. Remember, you must be within your rights to be able to make copies of copyrighted material.

Even though you may have bought and paid for movies distributed on DVDs, re-encoding and transfering them to a PC or mobile device may still be violation of copyright under provisions of the DMCA.
