Droid Turbo overheating will not stop turning off and on

I have recently started to have constant issues with my phone over heating.   It trys to turn on and then shuts off moments later to try to turn back on again.  It cycles through this about 2 times before it's too hot and I think stops trying to cycle on because it's overheated.   I cannot use the phone.  I've tried allowing the battery to die and allowing the phone cool down and trying to turn on again.  It starts the cycle over again.   Not sure if this is a common problem...but as it stands right now my phone is all but dead (and there isn't a Verizon operated store close to take it to...)  Any suggestions???

Orieana97 I am so sorry to hear of the troubles you have been having with your Turbo! How long has this been going on? Before this started have there been any new software updates or apps installed? Lets try running the phone in safe mode for 24 hours. http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-118294/
This will help us to determine if it is a 3rd party app that is contributing to the problem or the phone itself. Please stop by here and let me know the results. Thanks in advance!
