How does one setup folders for a POP3 email account?
For example I would like to setup a "Travel" folder under my inbox where I can save off my air and hotel confirmations for easy access.
Thanks!

What kind of POP3 account? Hotmail, Cox, etc.? Can you setup the same account as an exchange account and then have access to any additional folders?

I also found out that the default email APP(s) don't display all Folder that you may have defined online. e.g., if you're using YAHOO Email (AT&T / SBCGlobal) and have additional folders set up online (like TRAVEL), the default YAHOO App will NOT download & sync that folder. What you need to do is set up your email using "OTHER" for the App - then after configuring, you have the option to sync those other folders. good luck.

Also, I can't even find my POP3 folders using any file management app. They must be hidden so maybe the only way to access and make sub folders would be to root the phone. If true, hard to believe they would make it so difficult to do do something so simple.

Right, but you can't access them at a lower level. For example using the app, MyFiIles\Internal phone storage\

Not sure since I have the Droid Razr. Perhaps, since the POP3 Inbox, etc folders are on the device and they appear to be locked by the Android OS. Maybe IOS allows access to the local email folders.

The MyFiles will only access the folders on the device. It has no access to your email folders which are stored on the email servers.

see, now that makes sense why you can't add to a pop3 account & you get another gold star.

This is not IMAP, it is POP3 so the folders are on the device
