Hello, I have yahoo set as my primary email on my droid. I have tried every possible way I know how for the recipients email address to auto populate as I type the name but it wont. Is there a reason it wont or do I knot know what I am doing?

Thanks, this is frustrating...

Try this:  open your Yahoo mail, then click the gear.  Open the Yahoo account and ensure that Display Suggested Addresses is checked.

I went into settings and made sure the "display suggested addresses" was checked but it says "the most contacted addresses will be suggested" Will it not just use my contacts?

I did to B33 but that didnt do it. Do either of you use yahoo email, and I guess it does auto populate the address as you type it??

Yes, one of my e-mail accounts is Yahoo and I use the stock e-mail app on my Motorola.  When I compose a new e-mail, as soon as I type a couple of letters, I'll get a pop-up giving me options from my contact list based on those characters that I typed.  I then can tap on whichever contact I need and it will autopopulate the To field.  Is that not how yours is working?

Thanks for reaching out to us, Somanhunter.
The steps that everyone has listed is exactly how to get the email addresses to auto populate.
I'm guessing you have these email addresses stored within the contacts?
