Sorry, I don't have a Razr, but most are pretty similar. Normally, I'd say start with pulling the battery, but I don't think the Razr's batttery is removable. I don't have one, that's just what I've read. The next thing I'd do would be to do a factory reset. This will wipe all of the app's and data on your phone however and revert you to the original factory settings, but often is the only choice available for you and if you call customer service, or take it back to Verizon, that's the first thing they're going to tell you to do. You can always go to the market and download your apps again. They will be saved under My Market at the top right next to your name. Click on the gear icon and it will drop down My Market Account. Even easier is to click on My Library/Apps. Amazon has a similar routine.

If the factory reset doesn't work, I'd say take it back to Verizon. How it's handled will depend on how long you've had it. Less than 14 days and you can just get a new one. Over 14 days and you'll probably have to take a Certified Like New replacement.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Edit: Have you installed any new app's lately? If you do a factory reset and then reinstall your apps, I'd reinstall them one at a time in case you got an app that doesn't play well with your phone. That way you'll be able to narrow it down to which one is the trouble maker.

Just some more info in case you need it. If your phone won't start, you won't be able to do a factory reset from the settings menu. I copied this from another forum in case you need to try it.

1. Power up the phone by pressing the VOL UP + VOL DOWN KEY together + PWR KEY . 2. The device will enumerate with different BOOT OPTIONS 3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL and VOL UP Key to SELECT 4. Select Recovery 5. The device will start up with Motorola logo and power up to a little Android man logo with Exclamation mark 6. Press the VOL UP and VOL DOWN Key together at this screen 7. The device will display BLUE Text on a Black background . 8. Use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll DOWN and the PWR Key to SELECT the option desired . 9. In this case ,press the VOL DOWN key till the Wipe data / factory reset is selected and press the PWR key to confirm the selection . 10. Use the VOL DOWN key again to select YES - delete all user data and press the PWR key to CONFIRM . 11. The device will then start performing the Factory Data Reset 12. Once the Formatting is complete , press the PWR key to confirm a REBOOT 13. The message rebooting is displayed on the phone. 14. The device will reboot and start the normal power up sequence .

Good luck, hope this helps

Well it sound like it's past the 14 day return an my thoughts on not being able to do a batt pull is like a stiff Kansas wind. But that's the way Moto Rolled with this puppy an they are going to continue with this Theory on the Razr Max. To keep the battery sealed. But if i may suggest try a HTC Rezound that is if you can get out from under that Razr!

I took the financial hit just to get out from under the Thunderbolt and get the Rezound and it was one of my better decisions. Smiley Happy
