I purchased a new RAZR last year and so far I have needed to send it back three times because the headphone jack does not work. Has anyone else had this issue and what happened?

Hi Lamar2,
I can imagine the trouble having to swap out phones can be. I have reviewed this trouble and found others reporting similar situations. We have sent Motorola examples of the affected phones. At this time we are still waiting on their feedback to advise how to resolve this other than replacing the device.
Thank you,

Just wanted to Ask When listening do you put your phone in your pants pocket i know a allot of the Younger generation that has phones have there Phones or iPod's in there pockets and the Cords attached. In doing that it can at times in less a person is very very careful can put a strain on the Jack if the Pants is pressed up against it and it's hard to tell this because the force of movement is greater than one would realize..
One more thing when pulling out of the Jack Make sure you fingers are to were you have a good grip but not over bearing and pull straight up. What i Do i take my fingers and rest them up next to one of my Devices that i'm using and then grab the head of the Cord and i pull it up. Doing this give support as i pull the Jack out. And in that i have not had an issue with either one of my Maxx's

When you say "does not work", are you saying it doesn't work AT ALL ?? Or are you getting interference or static sounds? Mine is very quirky - I have to play around with the plug fter inserting it to get it to "seat" properly ... and even then it is touchy from time to time; giving me static-like interference if I touch the plug. I think it's the nature of this phone, frankly. My old DX never had this problem. This one has been like this since day 1.
