Home page issues

When I exit an app and return to my home page, all of the apps and icons have disappeared.  This has happened several times now, I always have to reboot my phone (which doesn't always work, sometimes it won't power down) or just wait and they eventually show up.  Anyone else having this issue?  This is one of several problems that I am having with my Razr....

Oh man! We can't have the home screen crashing on you! I will be happy to provide some steps to clear this up!

First, there are a few 3rd party applications that may cause system instability like this that I would steer clear of. These include Task Killers, Antiviruses, & Battery Savers. If you have any of these I would uninstall them and reboot your phone.

If that doesn't work and you're having a lot of operating system crashes (like the home screen) you may have a glitch, similar to a computer.

The good news is a lot of your information is automatically backed up. You contacts should be saved in gmail/backup assistant. Your media should be on your SD Card (check and move to your computer if you can). You can easily redownload your applications by visiting google.com/play!

Once you ensure all of your information is backed up I would Hard Reset your phone by following these steps:

+1  a Good suggestion Mel  and Steph you can try running your Phone in Safe Mode and see if that helps as Melissa mentioned third party apps even if they look Good can be deceiving. One thing i always do is i Look at the Comments that is right under the main part of the app on Google Play there is more than one Way to look at the Comments you can choose the phone that you have and see the Comments just for it..  Hope that Helps..  b33
