How can I get the option back to add contacts photos from the files or gallery?
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
Settings > Apps > All tab > scroll down to Gallery > Clear defaults
Repeat the same on the "Files" app.
Once the defaults is cleared, you will get the option to choose which where you want to save or open the file. To keep the option always available, don't set one of them as the default.

Thanks, it worked. I guess my "real" issue having just received this phone, was actually navigating TO the right spot, FROM the right spot.
You can download the full user manual from this website or Motorola as a started for learning all the features of the phone.
