How do I get deleted server emails to delete on phone?

When I delete an email from my msn account on my computer the deleted email continues to show up on my phone. is there a way to stop this?

I don't have MSN so I can't help you with the menus but you are looking for something about deleting or removing the emails from the server when deleted. 

I did find this post (Just got a Razr Maxx and it's deleting email from my server) with the opposite problem - but may point you in the right direction as far as a solution.

try settings/accounts/msn & see if you have a box checked to leave a copy on server.

no such setting.  under the tab "other setting" I have a checkbox "Remove manually deleted emails from the server" That's it. Even if i check that box (and I don't think it will do what I want) It wont stay chacked

I did as you suggested but did not find anything about leaving a copy on the server. I tried to check the box I referenced earlier but the box wont stay checked.

i ran into something like that before on my cox pop3 account, doing the same thing i mentioned, which, like you said didn't work.

i ended up removing/recreating the account to make the change & that's what you may have to do to get the box to remain checked.

did you setup the phone yourself & create the msn account??????

The MSN account was created many years ago. I set up the phone but took it back to the store for some help. They deleted the account and re created it. That didn;\'t solve the problem so I called tech support. Level one bumped me to level two. they had me re delete the account and talked me through manually (as opposed to automatically letting the phone do it) set up. That didn't work so I called back anbd got sent to a motorola rep. next i was bumped to level three support and I am waiting for a callback from them.

most tutorials say don't setup email automatically, even though it prompts you to do so when setting up.

Honestly, I find the email APPs very lacking in their abilities to Customize in ways that really work well.  I've tried several for my YAHOO (SBCGLOBAL) account and have yet to find any that work well enough. (Yes, I have K9 right now, but even THAT one cannot see ALL of my folders that I have defined online.) And the YAHOO Email App is horrible, IMHO.

If anyone has one installed hat they LOVE, I'd like to hear of it.

PS - I *JUST* figured out how to get my Yahoo account to display all my Folders.  I actually had to set up an Email Account as "OTHER" - not the default YAHOO one ... after I did that, I am now seeing all my Folders !!  YEA !! much happier now.

what kind of folders have you created?

I have some extra Folders on my email account in YAHOO online that I save various emails and things I just want saved to read later ..  e.g., attachments, files, recipes, general info --  each with their own folder names.  When you click on "New Account" when in Email, , then "Email Accounts", you are presented 5 options --  AOL, YAHOO, Windows Live, Gmail, and Other.   The default YAHOO one will NOT display any of the Folders other than Inbox, Sent, Trash, etc.  The way I "fixed" this is to use OTHER  ....  after I entered my email information, bingo -- all of my online Folders now appear and are sync'd to my phone for Offline use !!  cool.

I dont have MSM but only use Yahoo and it just started a week ago where I try to delete emails from phone and they are still there and same thing from computer, I delete some and wham they show up on phone. I have the Razr and wife has Revolution and she said same thing is happening on her phone, so is it Verizon or phones?
