I never used backup assistant on purpose, but it automatically backed up everything!! Now, I cant figure out how to delete ONLY the backup assistant entries that I no longer want. The information is out of date, and I really HATE having to update my contacts twice. If I just delete the info from backup assistant within an entry it will remove the entire entry once I hit save!!!
I do not want backup assistant, I did not ask for it, I want it disabled, wiped off the phone, removed from existence!! It is the worst idea for anyone who can operate a computer and backup their contacts properly!

I, too, would like to empty all Backup Assistant entries! I'd really like to get rid of the entire app; but am willing to have it just sit there EMPTY. Ha! Did you ever figure this out? On my PC, at Verizon's website, there are ZERO backed-up contacts, pics, music, etc. NONE! Yet, it says that the default storage space of 500 MB is full. I've looked in my phone, and if that stuff is in there, I have NO clue where it is. Help!

NO! And it is even worse now! Whenever I save a new number, it automatically saves to backup assistant on the phone instead of my address book.... grrrrrr... I hate that program!

There are 2 things you can do. Both are a pain though.
1) FDR your phone and when you get to the Backup Assistant portion, DO NOT input your passcode. This will cause Backup Assistant to NOT connect and therefore it cannot backup your numbers. Then let your phone backup to Google which is far more accurate and reliable then Backup Assistant.
2) Go into Backup Assistant from your Computer and change the password. Then, delete all of the numbers from within Backup Assistant. Then on your phone Disable Backup Assistant all together (in order to disable Backup Assistant you will need to uninstall ALL of the updates to it. If you do either of these it will cause Backup Assistant to be useless on your phone (which Backup Assistant is already useless, but in the current state actually make your phone respond and do things you do NOT want it to do.
