My gmail contacts, and phone contacts lists are different. Some contacts only show up in one list. My contacts displayed in "Verizon Wireless" is even different. My contacts are backed up regularly/automatically with "Backup Assistant".

Lets get your contacts all synced, Trucker_55! It is true that contacts will sync by the way they are set up. Some are "Google" contacts, some are "Backup Assistant" contacts. The contacts listed as "Google" will not sync with Backup Assistant either. I always recommend picking one of the two services, then import/export the contacts to the preferred option. After, disable the sync you don't wish to use. Keep me posted!

Backup Assistant won't backup any of the contacts saved as Gmail contacts.
