How do I transfer a downloaded ringtone to be installed as the incoming ringtone on my Droid Maxx?

Find the ringtone in My Music and long press it...you will then be given the option to assign it as your ringtone.

Create a folder in the root called Ringtones. Copy whatever music (MP3) you want to use for a RT to the folder. It will show up in the list of selectable tones.
