Hey, I just got the ICS update like everyone else and one of the things that has become an irritant to me is the word prompts while typing texts and emails isn't anywhere near as good as it was before...now I get like 3 words displayed and have to practically type the entire word before the word I want displays...before ICS, it seemed it was more intuitive and even prompted you for what the next word might be based on your current word, not to mention it had more words displayed. Anyone know if there are settings that can control what is displayed - I have browsed through all the settings I can think of and tried changing a couple but to no avail. Thanks!
Yes, I to was somewhat bummed by the fact that there were fewer options displayed. You can improve the suggestions, ie. not have to type as much if you go into system settings, Language & input, Motorola input settings, Auto correction and change the auto correction to very aggressive. That's what I did and like it much better. Good Luck!
Edit: If you press on any of the suggested words it will show you ALL the suggestions and you can pick the one that works. It is better than the old GB with only 4 or 5 suggestions.

You can Switch to another key board Smart Key Board & Swift Key Board are really Good and should by now be ics compatible just give them a Try and both have More settings to adjust how you want them to Work. I'm using Smart Keyboard and it's doing really Well. And of one of our Community Leaders Wildman he has used this keyboard for a Long Time and i'm pretty sure he still Does use it..
Have you tried to clear the custom dictionary for the keyboard through the Settings menu? Sometimes this helps..
