I bought my Razor Max one month ago. Loved the phone. Hate it now after the upgrade. Spent almost two hours with four technical people including the last one a Motorola technician and still having lots of problems - freezing on phone, cannot power off the phone, emails were going haywire, static jumping on the screen. Cannot receive emails now at all. Now the phone is not charging. It took three hours for it to charge 50%. Verizon wants to send me a USED certified phone which I really don't want, but I might not have any choice because I'm stuck with it for two years. With my previous phone, lots of problems after an upgrade also. At that time they sent me a different phone after sending me TWO phones that still didin't work.
Did they have you factory reset the device by chance?
Yes we did a factory reset. The emails worked for a while. Now I don't get emails for hours and I can't power off the phone.
If you Read the Manual It Clearly says it Takes 5 1/2 and that's When it's Off..
Read this get your Self up to Snuff on some things and at the Last page is the Manuals for the Razr / Razr Maxx

Did you also wipe cache? It helps a LOT. If you press/hold the power button it doesn't prompt you to:
Power Off
Sleep
Airplane mode?
I'm not all that surprised that just doing the FDR didn't help. If you haven't gotten it all set back up, do the FDR but turn off automatic restore, I've got a post here:https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/777870

Is this corporate email you are struggling with?
No aol email only. I'm just wondering maybe there is a cliche between aol and gmail somewhere.
I am having the same isues wih both corporate and gmail accounts. But my bigger question is why do they release such a crappy product? Not all of us are as tech savy as you appear to be and we just want a phone and an OS that is stable and works when wew need it, with out factory resets and clearing cahes. I think I am done with Droid and going for the iphone. just want to do my job and relying on this phone as a tool for that job is hurting me in the lomg run!
I was sent a replacement and it has been working great...after I wiped the cache and did a FDR for good measure. My screen flickers a bit after it has been running all day. I turn it off and back on and it takes care of it. Get a CLN replacement and you should be fine.

I completely lost access to a widget that I was using that combined my Facebook and Twitter and now I cant get it back. This update was horrible. I too was soooo in love with my phone!
P.V to find your Widgets or something similar to it) Touch the center Tab Labeled apps Look up you'll see your widgets Tap on Em. Scroll to you left to see all of them i have 12 pages on My Maxx.
