ICS issues and updates READ

Unfortunately, I haven't been experiencing all the problems that I've read by other consumers.  I can certainly empathize with you though.  I have also had battery issues on my Droid Razr Maxx since the ICS update.  I have found a fix and the operating system now runs buttery smooth.  For example, I used to go from a full charge down to 90% in only one hour's time and down to 70% after only 3 hours of intermittent to medium use.  Now with this new update, I just got docked down to 90% after three hours of use.  It has been 4 hours of intermittent and medium use and I'm still at 90%.

<Instructions or discussion of the installation of the unapproved software is not permitted on the community per the .> The update is .214 with a build date of June 29,2012.  Who knows if and when Motorola will push this update to the mass public over the outcry over the litany of ICS issues.

Forgot to mention.  I have some of the bloatware disabled and have no app killing software installed.  Have been on 4G the whole time and not wifi.  I also have all antennas, device locations and background data all enabled.  Under developer options, I have nothing checked either because there is a game I play that doesn't play well with one of the developer options checked.

I believe it is kill all background processes not running and kill all processes when app is exited.

Just going to add a disclaimer: I'd be careful installing leaked software.   Verizon and Motorola may or may not release this exact version and you could end up with no upgrade path to future updates and possibly no support from Verizon.

This keeps you on the path to the OTA updates and isn't the same as rooting your device.  I did extensive research and asked the DEVS at droidrzr.com BEFORE doing this update.

Unreleased software is unreleased software.  This has happened before with other devices so the Razr isn't any different.  Just a warning for those that install it and end up with issues (not saying there will be) and expect Verizon to help.  Don't get me wrong, I fully support not waiting on Verizon assuming you completely understand what's going on and know how to get back in the event of an issue.
