I'm more nervous about it than excited, honestly .. My MAXX is running perfectly. My personal experience from all the previous upgrades over the last 3 years was that these upgrades broke more than they fixed for a lot of people.  So let's just hope that this thing is fully tested and clean ... I'd even be willing to wait another couple of months rather than them rush it out due to people screaming for Ice Cream ..  We'll have to see...

  Isn't it a pull option rather than a push? I hope it is, because I like to let it go to those that are having problems, or want the update first, and let them shake out the problems before I update....

The one's doing the Soak test should Reveal allot if it's going to fly or not and if it doesn't then Motorola will be redoing there Home Work..I would kind of like to see it Fly we've had Ginger around for Quite some time Now But i'm still a little uneasy about how it's going to perform as Well..

I hear ya, the last moto I had was the "Q"...talk about something that made ya wanna go postal. Just got this Maxx & loving it, so like most software updates, the "bugs" are a something I'd rather leave to the techs  LOL

I have only had the phone for about three weeks, but I am really excited about ics.  Gingerbread is ok, but I have heard so much talk about how good ics is and the features that come along with it like Screenshot (which should have come native much sooner).  Face unlock should be neat and the new task manager looks much more effective.

Really hoping for June 12.

  Im excited about ics myself. Ive read and heard about how good it is. Ive had a few bugs with my maxx that hopefully ics will sort out. But with just about all updates that ive done usually some issues are fixed yet others arise. So if ics drops the 12 th i will either love it or hate it come the 13th.       Jesse

Well i can this i'm ready for a New and improved Dialer i wanted to Get Rid of the One that came with Ginger since it Came out.  I never did like how the Upper Numbers seemed to be almost washed out..b33

lol ...  well there has yet to be anything official about it actually BEING released. There have been reports of  "sometime in 2Q2012" - which ends June 30th ..   patience ...  if it even happens.  (Schedules & Dates are known to change).

I figured with CNET reporting it, that it was close to set in stone.  I don't think anyone would be shocked if it didn't happen tomorrow.

I just wondered what the normal schedule was on release day.

Well when updates go out, they are normally done in "waves" of users - usually based on the MEID - or possibly region - of the phone. (That's how Froyo & Gingerbread rolled out).  So depending on the size of the update, it can take weeks for the final Push of an update ... and ICS is probably going to be one of those BIG ones that take time.

I'm betting that it won't happen....  we've been promised ICS since 2 months ago.  I think it will be out eventually, but closer towards the end of the month.  We shall see.

True.. We waited near 8 months to get Gingerbread!  this Rolling out slowly does not surprise we one Bit..
