I don't know about everybody else, but so far I have been unimpressed with ICS. Most of it is candy dressing, and if there is anything in the OS to make the phone work better, faster, etc., I have not seen it. In fact, now I can't watch videos on YouTube, a couple of my apps have quite working, and worst yet, I am still losing 4G on occasion. Don't get me wrong, I'm not unhappy with it, just unimpressed.

I am downloading the update as I type this, but I did have the Galaxy Nexus for a while when first released. My favorite new ICS feature was the ability to make named folders on the home screens. For example I called one Customize and put all my apps for backgrounds and ring tones in it. Put all my games in one folder and cleared up the clutter. The voice feature worked well too. Aside from that not too much that I missed when I traded for the Razr due to signal issues with the Nexus.

It is easier to make 'groups' of icons on your home screen with ICS, you just drop the icons on top of each other and then you can name the group. It seems a little easier and more streamlined than what you had to do in GB with creating folders.

On my First Maxx i Haven't Updated to ICS i kept it with Gingerbread Now when i was Over in Wichita Mortb my ICS Maxx was staying with the 4G really Well but my Maxx that i hadn't updated yet Kept Flipping back N Fourth from Blue indicator to White indicator and when i Tried to Load some Apps it kept throwing Network Connection Errors at Me but the the One With ICS it worked as every thing was Ok Now when i did some Speed Test with it. At times it was Really Good But then there were times it acted as if it was on 3G instead of 4G. I think a Hell of allot it Mortb they Don't have all the Kinks out it and there Sure Not going tell any body But i think the Push to Get in as many Areas the that they are. I think they are Neglecting the Service! they may get it Straitened out in a Few Years but are the Customers going to keep Paying them and Wait that Long for Service that is at Most up N Down..b33

I too had been having the issue with the 4G (and it was with 4G only) going in and out (blue and white) before ICS. I was in 4G on Saturday and was in it all day today and had absolutely no problem with 4G connection. Also, Seattle/Tacoma is really good with 4G (I have had up to 30mbps).

Hi mortb,
I want to make sure you are having the best device experience possible! Are you trying to access YouTube videos through the application or on the browser? I can confirm some applications may not be compatible with Ice Cream Sandwich but the developers have been updating their apps pretty rapidly. How often are you losing your 4G connection? Where are you located? Does the signal revert to 3G or 1X? I am eager to review your reply so that we can work towards a solution!
Thank You,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. First, 4G seems to have stabilized. I haven't lost it in a while now. Verizon might have been working on the towers, who knows? Second, by some miracle You Tube is working. When I tried it the first time it wasn't. So everything is in good order, and I'm smiling . I have yet to try YouTube on the browser, got to try that soon. It is working nicely using the YouTube apps.

You Tube videos are also working nicely on my browser (Dolphin). So again, all is well in Razrland.

Multiple issues with the ICS update.
Reduced signal (much lower than I was getting with Gingerbread).
Speed test shows 3G rate of .02Mbps Down .70Mbps Up after update.
Battery life reduced.
Phone runs hotter that before.
Notifications row is so dim it's very hard to read.
Email (not g mail) client handles attached email so slow it often times out before they open. This was not an issue before the upgrade.
Lost my favorite news/RSS reader and other widgets.
Overall the look may be fancier to some but it is much less readable and reliable.
VERIZON help fix my phone.
A phone with poor reception kind of defeats the purpose of having it.

Do not download Ice Cream Sandwich my daughter and I both downloaded it and it fried both of our phones completely. We took them toVerizon and they could not get anything from them! We had to order replacements and pay 30 dollars for overnight (still have not received them loss of 30 dollars) shipping , my phone was not even a month old and now I get a repurposed used peice of junk some one else returned!! Think I will be changing to a different company!

Oh and the customer service rep said that the stores in town had all had the same problem and we have been trying to call Verizon all day and can not get through so from the sheer amount of calls they are getting I think its safe to say its not worth it.

I am haveing all of the same problems as NDT_T and also i think the text messages are harder to read and also i do not think widgets transition as good as they used to. As the favorite squares for instance they used to slide down nice and it looked good and now its like you pull them down it waits a second and then it just opens the list. Also, they COMPLETELY defeated the purpose of having a quick favorite friend icons when it opens a whole different screen...
All i have to say is ICS upgrade is a EPIC FAIL!!! in my book, i really do not like it. And those of you that want to know i have already tried contacting customer support and see if they can fix it or go back to the old operation system and they to me," No you have to use the new one."
