I'm experiencing a problem after installing the ICS OS. When I try to send/receive email on my POP3 account on my PC, I get an error message that another app is trying to access the account and the send/receive fails.
Discussed with my ISP and they advised me that I should change my POP3 on my PC to IMAP, the same as the phone setting. With these settings, emails can be deleted from the IMAP account on my PC through my phone. Phone storage is now a problem. All emails in your inbox on your PC appear in the inbox on your phone. And if you delete an email on your phone, it is deleted on your PC. What a pain in the A%&!
The purpose of IMAP is to map emails from your POP3 account, read/reply/delete on the phone, without affecting the POP3 account.
This issue must get resolved!!!
