Is there a setting for "re-notification" ?

Having recently purchased a Droid RAZR, I have found through research or experimentation how to set my notifications for most things, but there's one thing this phone doesn't do that my previous generations of feature phones did... it doesn't give a periodic audible tone as a "reminder" tone when I miss a call or text.  I receive emails on the phone from numerous accounts (including work) so my notification light is always blinks and is useless for me.  Does anyone know of a setting (or possibly an app) that allows for the setting of vibrate or tone notification on specified apps?  (My only interest is for missed phone calls or texts.)

Thanks for reading this... and MANY thanks if you can help me figure out how to get my "smart" phone to do what I want it to do!

You will need to use an application from the Android Market. Search for "missed call" and you will get several options.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

check android market for "NOLED" app which can set up numerous ways for different apps, I believe. Icons move around phone screen with designated icon for type message you missed. Not certain what else.  Might try play with your "smart actions" app loaded on phone and see if able set up some paramters for notification. Not yet used this app but just other day started looking into it.

Also Handcent messaging app has an option to set how many times and how often you are reminded for txts you have not read.

Thank you.  I KNEW there had to be an app, but didn't know what to look for.  As is the case so many times not knowing the "language" makes SUCH a difference, but the three of you pointed me in the right direction and I was able to experiment with several apps and found one that did what I wanted.  Now I'll do some more experimentation with smart actions and see if it would have done the same thing had I built my own rules.

Again, many thanks and blessings to you three who answered from not only me, but to those others who also will also benefit from your help and direction!!!

God is Good!
