I got the Jelly Bean upgrade this morning but once I activated the upgrade it failed and gave no reason. Where do I find the upgrade in order to try it again. Motorola Razr.

Have you tried rebooting the phone or doing a soft reset (hold the volume down and power buttons simultaneously for 15-30 seconds)?

Not yet. I'll try although I think I need smaller thumbs to do that. Thanks.

You may end up having to do a factory reset. If you do, be sure to back everything up first, 'cause all your data will be wiped (it will be as if you just took the phone out of the box).

Is your phone rooted? Or any apps disabled? If yes thats where I would go back to "out of the box new" and try again
the reason i asked was my razr failed to accept the JB update since i am rooted and have disabled ALL bloat....So returning the phone to stock was my only real option...
<< Cautionary note: "Discussion" of rooting a phone is prohibited, however this is a legitimate troubleshooting question and will be allowed. >>

My phone has never been tampered with. All apps are from the Google Play
store.

leeder46, let's get a passing grade for the software update. First, I recommend that you delete any unwanted information from your phone to ensure that you have enough memory capacity to accept the software update. For example, uninstall unwanted applications, delete unwanted text message threads, e-mails, and call history. Once you have cleaned your device out, from the home screen, tap Applications > Settings > About phone. You should be provided with the options to update the software.
