LED notification light

To all you razr/ razr maxx owners: Is the notification light supposed to blink on missed calls and messages until you wake the phone again? My notification light blinks once only, and I cannot find anywhere within settings where you can adjust the settings of the LED light.

Not sure how it works with the Droid Razr, but the previous Android phone that I own would only blink for five minutes and then stop.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I don't remember if mine blinks on missed calls but if there's email it will continue to blink until I use the pull down notification or check the email.  Simply unlocking the screen does not stop the blinking.  The light is green.

For messaging I use Go SMS Pro and have set it up within the app to blink red.  I don't know off hand what the stock text messaging app does.

I don't have very fancy needs with notification lights, but Light Flow is highly recommended by others who want a lot of controls in that area.

I get one blip on a missed call and that's all (Razr Maxx). No led's for text or email (though I don't want them for email). I tried NoLED, but I get gmail notifications even though I disable them. I guess the LED notification is not working on my phone. Maybe I will try Light Flow, thanks.

In Gmail, go to Menu, More, Settings and select your Gmail acct. Scroll down to Notification Settings and see if Email notifications is checked.

In the Text Messaging app, go to Menu, Messaging settings and scroll down to Notification Settings and see if Notifications is checked.

I use the stock SMS and notifications are checked to show in status bar and notification tone. In Gmail, the only settings I see are message actions:" always show, only show in portrait, don't show".  The notifications are not working with Lite Flow either., none for missed call, one blink for text message, even though I set it up to flashing light. I looked at the suppotrted phones and the Razr is listed. I did allow accessibilty, so that isn't the problem. NoLED works better, I just can't disable the Gmail notification.

Chatted with Motorola regarding this issue, and they wanted me to factory reset the phone, and or send it in for repair. Seems like a factory reset is always their stock answer, but if everything else is working, I can't see factory resetting for an LED light....

@Spurs21: This that Moto wanted you to do is to me something they wanted to cover there Bodiddley with the same thing happen to the Droid X when it got Eclair or Fro-Yo it was working fine then after the Update it was gone an has never came Back So i'm not to much in a heap to see it return on the Razr or Maxx although it should Be. Alott a people rely on there led notification an that's why i liked the Black Berry's so well.

When I refused to reset the phone or send it in for repair that was the end of the chat. One of the features of the phone I was looking forward to having was an LED notification light, coming from a Samsung, they have none, not even the Gnex, as I understand it. Went back to NoLED, so far that's worked ok. I just don't like being notified of every Gmail that I get, but I can live with it.

The Galaxy Nexus has an LED notification light. It is on the bottom of the glass below the Home button.

The Gnex has a multitude of other issues, that is why I got the Razr Maxx
