If your Droid's network traffic stalls/freezes while you are on wifi, check your wireless router for the WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) option. Disable it and see if that fixes your problem. On my router it was under the QoS Setup (Quality of Service) tab. Netgear WNDR3700. My wifi is very stable now that I've turned that off.
None of the other wireless devices in my house (and there are many) had a problem with WMM, but evidently some of the Motorola phones do. I don't think that QoS stuff does much good anyway so I wasn't worried about turning it off.
