More problems after update-JB

I recently updated my phone to 4.1.2

Every since then I have noticed a few quirks.......the most annoying is how fast the battery dies down. I can fully charge my phone all night and by noon,it is half way down...........by 4pm,have to recharge it again.....And I am not on the phone all that much.

One other thing, which is really a problem is while I talk to people, all of a sudden they can't hear me........My phone is not on MUTE so that's not it......It is very important for me to talk to people for my business.I have to hang up and call them back.

Not sure what can be done.I really wish my contract was up so I could just go to non contract phone with a smaller bill and a reliable phone. For the money we pay for our two phones($200),you would think reliability would be a priority.

I agree. The update caused many problems with my phone (having to delete and renter contacts, apps don't work even with delete and reinstall, change all ring tones and settings, slow, battery only lasts half the day since upgrade, and the list goes on) and I unfortunately can't change phones until july 2014. ABSOLUTELY !!! My Motorola Razr was destroyed by Motorola's "updates"  At one point, we had a conference call, a Verizon tech, a Motorola tech and me to try to fix what Motorola destroyed.  Nothing worked.  After Motorola hung up, the Verizon tech turned somersaults to try to fix the software problems Motorola had caused but couldn't, so they sent me a new SIM card - TWICE.  Several pieces of software still didn't work, like Play Store wouldn't actually install anything (as an example).

Finally, Verizon sent me a replacement phone. (Now they have to send a new SIM card because the tech said it's not a good idea to use one of the ones from the damaged phone in the new phone.  Meantime.  I haven't a phone for almost a week !!!! MY LIFE IS IN MY PHONE !!!!

Both Verizon and Motorola have told me that the only way to avoid Motorola "upgrades" is to click on LATER when the screen asks if I want to install the upgrade now or later.  I have to keep on hitting LATER no matter what Motorola sends me.  I went into a chat with a Motorola tech and she said they are working on a way to let users opt out of getting "upgrades" but she didn't know when that would happen.  She said she's passing our chat on to the people who design the apps, etc, etc, etc, BULL !!

I either have to put up with this garbage until my upgrade date (more than a year away) or pay full price for a non-Motorola phone that won't do this !!!

This update made a great phone into a crappy phone.  Blue tooth problems, tethering problems.  Come on Verizon, your better than that!!!!!

Hi nashvillern!

I am sorry to learn that the latest software update for your phone has caused some performance issues. All software updates developed by the phone's manufacturer are intended to improve performance and it is unfortunate that some times things do go as planned when an update is installed. My son has the a Droid Razr also and he was able to resolve all post software issues by doing a factory reset http://vz.to/z30zKf I recommend performing this reset following the steps at the above link.

I just got my phone on Friday and loved it.  I got the update notification Saturday morning.  Yesterday, I was talking to a friend and had the problem you had, all of a sudden the person I was talking to couldn't hear me.  I just thought one of us hit something on our phones.  But now I'm worried.  Why do they push updates w/out really testing them and fixing the bugs first?
