I've been on the unlimited data plan since we were still with Alltel, and recently my phone had a serious malfunction and will no longer charge. It was the Motorola Droid X-2. My question is this: I've purchased a Motorola Droid RAZR from someone and want to know when I try to have this phone activated on my account, am I going to lose my unlimited data plan? The phone was purchased from a third party and won't be considered an upgrade.

If you've been on a Verizon unlimited plan then no you wouldn't. If your unlimited plan is through Alltel then I'm not sure. So you need to tell us which plan you're currently on.

That is where it gets a bit confusing...its my moms plan and i think they had just finished the verizon switchover when i got my first android. i know that she and my sister are on the 2gb tiered verizon plan and im on the same phone plan but already had unlimited data when they got their smartphones.

You shouldn't lose it because you are not signing a new 2 year contract and getting a subsidized phone.

Is your phone Verizon branded or Altell? If you moved to Verizon before mid 2011 I'm pretty sure your under Verizon unlimited anyway.
