I just purchased the new Razr Maxx phone yesterday. Was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to fully charge the battery. I charged it overnight and it went from 20% power to 70% power. Is that normal to take that long to charge or is there something wrong with the battery already.

assuming you lft it on while charging, updating multiple apps, you don't get a real good charge.
i run mine down to under 15%, turn it off for charging 3 hours & have a fully charged battery.
yeah i know, i might miss something but voice-mail, text messages, email come in when the phone's turned back on.

Just got off of the phone with Verizon. Phone would not do a soft reset. Rep said the battery is probably fine but there is something wrong with the software communicating the battery life. Have to go and get a new phone but he said the store should give me one without any issues. Here is hoping. Good thing I only got the phone yesterday and can easily re download everything.

i can't find it now but somewhere, motorola recommends charging for 3-5 hours, for a new phone, with phone off, before use, as these phone only have a 40% charge.

When i charge my Maxx Bear it truly takes 4 Hours an that's when it's off because the Battery is so Darn big an i usually put a Couple more hours on it to make sure it's fully charged but when i go Over it's no more than 3 Hours. Then i turn the Maxx back on an i will Re-plug it in for about an hour to Bump charge it.

i doubt very seriously if your bump charge, after turning on is helping anything.

Coley it's Normally 4 Hours an i go an Additional 2 Hours with my Maxx to trickle charge it an i do this with the Phone shut off An only With Motorola O.E.M Chargers Never by the Computer. Did you fully charge it before putting in the Sim Card an Doing the Initial Set-Up ? Phone performance can be Affected by Apps, the way U use the Device An weather you are in a 3G or 4G Environment or Using Wi-Fi these all Way heavy on the Use of the Device..b33

So I got a new phone today. The new one is working much better. Verizon in store rep even charged the old phone for 15 minutes and the battery indicator did not move at all. Stayed at the same percentage. Seems a lot of the programs are running all of the time. Does anyone use a task killer? I heard u don't need one but afraid the batter will be drained very quickly without one.

Coley the Razr / Razr Maxx has a Task Manager that's part of the Original Apps that come with the Phone But i Personally Use System Panel App i have had it on my Maxx since i put it into Use Feb.6 As Having the App Longer Yes i have had it on my Droid X For Two Years Now An i had it on my Incredible i have the Paid Version i paid $2.99 for it.
As for What the App Can Do:
- It will Tell you the Activity of Both CPU's
- it Will tell you what your Memory is Doing an how Much you Have of it
- It will tell you.. your Internal & External Storage
- it will also Show you the Battery Drain
- And your Temps on the Your Razr
- Plus it Will show you what you Apps are Doing an there is an End All if Needed to stop an App that is out of Control..
So for the Money an the Recommendation of from Wildman & Now Me i think with this App it will be all that you Need to take of those Pesky Apps.. b33 One more thing i wanted to tell ya there is a Free Version of System Panel..
