Shouldn't verizon warn you before they make drastic changes to your phone? My phone did some sort of update tonight and now I've lost all my business email's. I've lost my backup app, my date/time app and my email settings! This is horrible!!!!!!!!!!! How can I retrieve my emails?
Well this Update Came out the 28th of June and it has been in places like: android central ,droid life , phone scoop and Many more And has been in a Few Magazines. But I.C.S itself has been out since March or April when it was introduced in the Galaxy Nexus..

That is true, but in all their lovely write ups about the new and approve update to "icecream" they never mention that all your non-gmail accounts will be wiped clean. Nor do they mention that because I use non gmail accounts for my buisness I would have to reset all the setting for the 6 accounts I use.
I do not like the new "combine" email setting, I much prefer the old Universal setting. I could force retreive any time, now I have to open each account seperatly to force retreive a email. Or I haven't found that option yet
I actually didn't want to upgrade but when Verizon pops up the update OK/cancel button continuely it wasn't hard to accidently hit the ok instead of the cancel. I would love to be able to retrieve the email's off the storage in the phone, but I have yet seen that option.
Well i can understand your frustration G.T. you got your Phone the way you want it an boom here comes something that Mucks it up. In my case i have two Maxx's one that i got for B-Day back in Feb, and the one i got in June to Continue my Unlimited for another Two. On my Maxx that i got in June i went ahead and Downloaded I.C.S on it. My Feb. Maxx it still has Ginger i get the Updates and i Just push them another 24 But i will have to Succumb to updating it one of these days as well as it will help the Maxx in the Long Run and i want to Do it before the So Called Maintenance update comes out. But as for have to many issues with Maxx's not really.
It sounds like you have your Gmail Account Good. Basically when you did the Update it did. What i will call a Minor Wipe thats why your Non Gmail Email was Kicked out. I to had to restore mine Too the Only way you can Remove your Gmail Account is By doing a F.D.R. that is why it Stayed..
Not sure how you lost your emails?
It Could depend on how many there was if the OP had a Lot emails they were probably kicked out so the Update could proceed to go threw...
