I have had my Droid Razr for a few months now and lately it seems I am not receiving all text messages. I have had many people say that they sent me a text and then I never got it. The problem seems to be worsening and it is really starting to annoy me. I have turned my phone off and turned it back on multiple times but that isn't helping. What can I do to fix this problem?

Well the limit on text Messages are set at 200 but you can adjust them to a Higher Setting limit..
Another thing you can you do is Go to Setting > Applications > Manage Applications > Select all Scroll down to Messages Open then Clear the Cache , Data the hit the Home button to Close. Power off & then Power on an Try it out Again.. b33

Hello rpneal120!
Thank you to the community for all of your suggestions! rpneal120, do you have a third party text messaging app downloaded? If so, I would recommend removing it. You can also try running the phone in safe mode. If that does not work, I would recommend a hard reset on the phone.

Hard Reset: http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=49625
Let us know if that works!

Thanks Katie i will throw on here How to Do A F.R the OP can Try a Wipe of the Cache Partition first if this has Been Done then i would Also Recommend the F.R.= Factory Reset or Hard Reset "Attention" Look to the Bottom of my Post for the Alternate Method
Hard Reset - DROID RAZR / RAZR MAXX by MOTOROLA
Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.
Disable Automatic Restore prior to performing a hard (factory) reset when attempting to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue.
Preferred method
Alternate method
- From a Home screen, select the App menu (located in the lower right).
- Select Settings.
If the application icon is missing, select App menu filter (located at the top) then select All apps.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Factory Data Reset.
- Select Reset phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
- Select Erase Everything.
Allow up to 10 minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
- Refer to Initial Activation and Setup.
U can use this the Alternate Method Here to Do a Wiping of the Cache Partition Or Do a F.R.: I Did this on my Maxx it takes a few times to get the Hang of it & the Steps but keep with it an you will get it as i Did

I do not have a third party messaging app. Yesterday my phone's software upgraded and that has seemed to help out some. I just cleared the cache partition so hopefully that will help out as well.
