Notification sound

Is anyone having problems with the notification sounds not working?  I have changed mine it will work once or twice then quit.  And my screen freezes up.

My guess is you have a greater problem than just notification sound.

Try these steps in this order until one works.

  1. Reboot your phone
  2. Run your phone in SAFE mode for a while and see if an installed app is misbehaving.  Remove suspect apps.
  3. Clear/wipe the cache partition
  4. Do a factory reset (Note; This is a drastic measure and wipes everything.  You will have to set up your phone from scratch after doing this.  Take no chances and back up your internal and external storage. Although, theoretically your external SD card should be safe.)

If you do not know how to do these things just search through the forums (or Google).  They have been explained many, many times.

PS: Also try another SD card if you have one or remove yours and run without it for a day or so.  Bad SD cards cause strange things.

The Droid Razr Maxx has a nonremovable battery.

You can not remove the battery on my phone.
