Just got my Razr and think I will really like it. However, is there a way to view notifications on the locked screen so I don't have to go through 2 steps of unlocking screen and dragging down upper left hand corner to view? Every feature phone and smart phone I have had in the past would show me notifications when they came in without having to do anything.

It's understandable you wanting to be able to see your notifications, even when your screen is locked. I would like to assist.
The DROID RAZR screen lock is a nicely added feature to prevent accidental touches. The only thing you're allowed to access while screen is locked is "Emergency Calls". Just know this feature is set this way for your privacy.
I hope I have answered your question, and have addressed your concern.
You can install a third party SMS app that has that feature. Personally, I use Handcent SMS (and have for 2 years). It's far better than any OEM app and gives the user (you) more customization.
There are other SMS apps (Go SMS) is another one that give you a pop up, even when the device is locked.
