Phone seems to have died

Three nights ago I plugged my phone in to charge (it still had 20% left) and the screen went completely black.  It has done nothing at all since.  If I plug it into my computer USB port, the little white light will come on.  Plugged into the wall charger, it does nothing at all.  I've left it plugged in for hours (all night) on the wall charger.  I've left it plugged in on the computer (with the little white light on the whole time) for hours.  Still nothing.  Computer will not show it as a USB drive either.

I called support, and they walked me through the soft reset (which I had already tried).  Still nothing.  They've shipped me a replacement phone.  My question is:  is there something else to try?  Also, do apps default to using the micro SD for their data?  I have some apps that I really would like to keep the data files they have written.  Some of the data can't be replaced.  I haven't plugged the card into the card reader to see what's on it yet.  I am just going to wait until I get the replacement tomorrow and sit down to do everything at once.

Any ideas?  Thanks for any help!

Try charging the phone with a WALL charger for three or more hours. The charge from a USB port on a computer doesn't supply enough Amps to properly charge the phone from that low of a battery level.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I have.  All night long (as stated in my original message).  It was plugged in to the wall for about 8 hours.  Since VZW told me they would send me a replacement it has been charged into the wall (about two days solid).

Hello AUgrad98,  Let's make sure you have gotten the power back to power your phone!  I apologize for the delayed response.  Have you had more success with the replacement device?  I would be more than happy to provide additional support if still needed.

Thank you,

My replacement is fine. I just lost the data files from the defective phone. Very little goes to the microSD by default. Oh well...live and learn, I guess.
