I downloaded a ringtone from Verizon Wireless and I tried to follow the directions, but they did not work. My message options say delete messages, protect messages, and view message details. Can anyone help???

Well what i'm going to suggest is what i use and have since i started on here back in 2010 and that is Zedge the Ringtones and Wallpapers are Free and if you find a Ringtone you like you can Download it! or set it to your Default Ringtone right after you here it. If it's a Wallpaper you can set it as your Default Wallpaper) To listen to your selected Ringtones if you choose to get a few of them Go to Sounds in your settings to listen to each of them..
To set a Ringtone for your Contacts go to People Find your Favorite Contact Tap on it then Tap the settings the Horizontal bars scroll to Set Ringtone Choose Android System for the On-board contacts --> or Zedge for the Ringtones you got from it Tap it find the one you want to set as the Tone) Tap on it and then Tap set Ringtone with the big Check and you Set.. b

Legend33,
No ringtones are no fun, so let's get them properly set up on your device. After purchasing & downloading a ringtone you should have the ability to select and hold the ringtone and choose the option to save it. You will want to make sure that you tap and open the message with the ringtone in it, in order to get the option to save it. Provided below are some additional steps that should help get this set up http://bit.ly/PWOw9T ^GP
