Problem with Verizon Towers?

My husband and I both have Droid Razr Max Phones and we are having issues with incoming and outgoing calls. Everytime we receive a call it hangs up when you try to answer. We live in the Columbus, GA area and are curious if this is our problem, or a Verizon problem with a tower or something. We have already shut off our phones, turned them back on. Dialed *228 and nothing. No changes. Any info would be great. Thank you!

I'm surprised your phones let you dial *228 ... you should never do that with a 4G LTE phone, any Preferred Roaming List updates are handled by the SIM card.

You could try turning off the phones, removing the SIM card, waiting a few minutes, then replacing the SIM card and turning the phones back on.  If you are still having issues, it could be a network issue, or it could be a SIM card issue since you dialed *228.  If it's the latter, you'll need new SIM cards; they're free at your local Corporate Verizon store.

I think Verizon needs to put a big sticker on 4G phones stating DO NOT DIAL *228
