I'm having this exact issue with my razr hd maxx. It tracks for a little while then looses all GPS functionality and requires a hard Reboot to get the GPS back. After the reboot it locks right on and then everything repeats. makes it hard using the phone and preloaded maps as a reliable GPS in the woods.

I'm sorry to hear your having GPS issues. Let's dive into this and get this fixed. Please clarify what your doing when you hard reboot. Are you wiping the device back to factory default?
