What should I do if my phone freezes or locks up?

In the unlikely event that your device becomes unresponsive, try a force reboot.

Press and hold the power key + volume down key for 10 seconds to perform a force reboot on the device.

Note: Data on your phone will not be deleted.

There are a few things that might be causing your phone to freeze or act sluggish. It is important to pay attention to how often handset has this behavior when troubleshooting. Consistent screen freezes that never go away even after power cycle might be signs that repair is needed or that the handset might need to be reset.

Keep in mind:

  • Your handset can be sluggish initially after power up, so make sure handset has time to register with your cellular network and load up applications and widgets before being concerned.
  • Pulling up attachments from Emails can take up to minute or so to come onscreen. If screen or handset operations are freezing often, try the following to correct the issue: Make sure you have the latest software installed. The latest software release will always ensure you have the latest performance enhancing updates for your DROID RAZR MAXX phone. You can check to see if your phone has the latest software by following the steps below:Checking for the latest software For more information on latest software updates, visit www.motorola.com/mydroidrazr and click on the link undersoftware updates and drivers. 1. Touch the app tab, in the home screen to open the app menu
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap About Phone.
    4. Tap System Updates.

Here Are some tips I have for ones that Install the Sim For there Selves:

I have heard many people saying there having issues with there 4G devices for different Things. An this is one of things that might be Causing issues with the phones. We all have Static Electricity in our Bodies that flows into our Fingers plus the oils an one Touch to that Sim could trigger the issue. I had a Rep tell me at one of the local stores We touch them all the time. Well that Dude needs to read up on the consequences of what static electricity can do to Sensitive conductors. That Sim may not be a conductor but the stuff on it can be wiped out just like the Info on a Credit Card. So the Input for the Day is if your getting a shiny new 4G phone Make sure the Rep that installs the Sim Card doesn't touch the Gold area an if you are getting it from FedEx read the little Pamphlet that comes with the Sim as it will Tell You Do Not Touch the Gold Area of the Sim Card.

I wanted to Add these Pics of the Pamplet that Comes with Sim Card when a phone is Shipped to the Consumer that has received there new 4G phone this is what should be packed with the New phone as well as other contents. B33

To super Impose the Picture Just take your Mouse put it on the center of the picture an Left.. click it.
