Razr M bad reception

I recently got the Razr M and while my wife gets 4 to 5 bars on her reception on Droid 2, I get maybe 1.  Any suggestions or ideas why the reception is so bad?

On your M is it getting the 4G indicator with this 1 bar if So your getting a true LTE signal while your Wife phones is just a CDMA phone that gets the old traditional and non 4G signal.. There is a Difference kind of hard to Explain but it's like when we had Analog phones and we went to Digital Analog was great for some things but paled in comparison to Digital that why we moved away from it..

On the Reception you might Try using Motorola's Restore Connectivity App i used it Quite a few time and has Helped and this might as well but there is allot people that doesn't really like them for Talking is a  BLUETOOTH Headset i use one just about every time a Make a phone Call. I just hate having a phone next to my Head and to me it's Distracting and it keeps the phone from doing it's full potential.. But that just me and i tend to think it's allot safer when Driving... Same problem here.  My daughter's HTC Incredible 4G is always 3-4 bars and my Razr M is lucky to get one and switches between 3G and 4G but only 1 bar.  My voice calls are really bad with voices continually cutting-out.  I even noticed the Wifi signal is significantly weaker than the HTC and Razr X.  I will probably take it back.  Performance is not very impressive, not sure if the weak reception is a  design or manufacturing defect.

Well if you've had the Device Less than a Week then i would think of Doing Something, i thought with one or two of here with this issue was a or might be a spuradic issue but since more Customers are reporting the Issue i'm getting to wonder if it's more than that.. it could be your location but if you seeing it when your in other area's as well i be on watch full eye side of it..

Having the same problem with my Razr HD.  I have whole house wifi from Roadrunner and I have two cell phone towers within a mile of my location.  I am thrilled when I get more than one bar.  I have tried all the different settings and none gave me better reception.  If I try to play with the setting more than 5 minutes the phone gets too hot to handle. When I went to Florida to visit family I went to a Verizon store in Orlando and the only information the manager gave me was "Your Razr HD is obsolete, get a new phone.  I just got the phone in August 2012.

Hello Gertie001,

I am so sorry to hear that you are having issues with your handset.  Having the Razr HD myself I can assure you the device is not obsolete.  When you are connected to WIFI does it not hold the connection?  Has a master reset of the device been completed on the device?  Also what is the latest software verision on the device?  We look forward to hearing back from you.  Thank you for being the best part of Verizon Wireless.
