We need a place we can post success / horror stories about I.C.S.
Tips/tricks etc...
Overall I'm pleased. There have been some sticky moments(hah)but for the most part it's pretty smooth.

The "horror" stories is what this forum is all about ... It's a place to dump issues you have with any version.

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a sticky thread in this Jive platform.

Just so you know, it's nice, really nice but there are some issues that will crop up. I'm getting a bit of a performance 'stutter' or hang up at times. The Face Unlock is REALLY cool but slow and not wholly accurate and fails over to the PIN unlock which I'm begining to think I prefer.

I am not bothering to check, when it comes, it comes.. I will, however, make sure I check the Motorola site to see when it is released out to the general public. Then I might start trying.

And unless something was changed it says here the Upgrade began on the 22, of June..
The upgrade, which will begin on June 22, will also upgrade all smartphones in the DROID RAZR family to the popular Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

ARE U NUTZ? ICS for droid razr maxx killed this phone. i want to throw it away now, it is so bad. crisp clear graphics have been replaced with typical old motorola fuzziness. my home wireless went from excellent reception to fair. the phone doesn't play some videos now, and 4 G is sketchy. battery life dropped. fonts are harder to read. email system has been compromised... have to keep loading more mail to see my email. also have to keep touching something that says 'background data unavailable' to clear it. have to push 3 buttons to end a phone call. user interface is not as attractive and am stuck with an apps button in the middle i can't get rid of. just what i need, another apps button, especially phone keeps going to the apps download page on it's own.when the phone keeps going to the apps download page on it's own.. oh, and there's this stupid oscillating button you have to hit to get into your phone every few minutes, then you have to hit another button to get in after that. what the ??????? and contacts - they took the contacts function out of the calling area of the phone. i just don't get it.
absolute nightmare new operating system. and the worst part is, they don't give you a choice to upgrade. do yourself a favor if it's not too late - back up your gingerbread so you can reformat your phone.

There is a work around for the 4G/3G switch. There is another thread discussing it.

*** Grumble, Grumble ***
Still no ICS update. My Razr Maxx is still telling me it's up to date - and I know it's not. I'm tired of Gingerbread
