All of a sudden, today, my phone is requiring a PIN to unlock the phone. I cannot seem to find out how to deactivate this. I went into settings/location and security settings. and the "screen unlock secuirty" doesnt seem to allow to deactivate it. Anyone know how to deactivate it?
Thanks, Lisa

I'm a bit confused as to how you can get to Settings, Location if you can't unlock the phone, but if you can't remember the PIN you can contact Verizon and have them do a factory reset. This will wipe all your data, but you will have the phone back.

Thanks for all your comments. The first time it asked for me to create a pin number...I did (not really knowing it would be to unlock my phone). Then when I tried to deactivate the locking system, it wouldnt let me. The "Unlock" button was greyed out. I took the phone to the verizon store and they figured it out for me. Are you ready for this?????? Since I have my work email linked to my phone. My work server made all employees automatically use pin numbers to unlock their phones, (if they access work emails from their phone, which I do). Imagine that!!

Well i don't know if this is possible or not but it makes me wonder if there using this in some way to Track what the Employees are doing. May not be but it just might be as Employers are wanting to know everything that you do these days.

i believe the pin number is for the phone, needed to activate the phone or another phone & will be needed to setup backup assistant, if ba will be used.
as long as i can remember, the number required to lock/unlock, change code or change/add anything in security, has been the last 4 numbers of the phone number, unless it's changed.
fwiw:
my phone pin is different than my verizon wireless, call-in customer service, security pin.
