Razr won't upgrade to ICS

For some reason, one that I can not figure out, my phone, a regular Motorola Razr, won't upgrade to the new OS. Whenever I check system updates, it is always grayed out, and I have even gone as far as to factory reset my phone. My system verzion shows 6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US, and my Android version shows 2.3.6.  From what I have read on the internet, nearly all of Razr users have received this update, yet I haven't had a single notification that it was released. I wouldn't have even known that ICS had been released if I didn't already know that it should have been released sometime in the second quarter of 2012. If anyone can possibly help me, it would be much appreciated. I have never rooted my phone, nor do I know how to, so I highly doubt that could be my problem.

If it helps, which I doubt, I never bought my phone through a store. Instead I ordered it on the phone through a representative, which was then shipped to my house. This was before christmas, sometime I believe to be in November.

Try this on your Razr  First go into you Browser-->Menu--> Then More--> then Settings--> scroll up to Private Settings Then Tap Clear all to clear your Browser History then Scroll up further and Tap Reset to Default. Then Tap your Home button.

One you do what i described up above:  Do a Soft Rest once the Soft Reset is done then do a Clearing of the Cache Partition.. One other thing i wanted to Add give this a Try as well Go to your settings--> Applications-->Manage Applications--> Select All Then Scroll up all the Way to { Updater } Tap to go in And Clear the Cache if any an the Data then Hit the Home Button.. This Just might clear enough on the Phone and to kick the Update Setting back on.  Give these Suggestions a Try and hopefully it gets the indicator back on to were you can do the Update.   Good Luck..b33

When I scroll down to Updater underneath the applications, everything is greyed out, including force stop, clear data, clear cache, and the rest. It seems that no matter what I do, the system updates remains grayed out. I have received updates on this phone before, and all never required me to manually go to the system updates. I have tried using my wireless internet to connect, and that doesn't seem to work at all either.

Well then the only thing i can suggest is Doing a Factory Reset that is if your Comfortable doing one. The Store that you bought your Razr Can Do a Flash witch is the Same as Factory Reset. But it should Clear the Issue because it Takes the Phone back to Factory New.. Good Luck b33

As I said before, I have already done a factory reset, and I can't take it back to a store, since I ordered it through verizon on the phone. I don't know exactly what else there is to do, and it confuses me greatly as to why system updates is grayed and everything else is grayed out.

I Am experiencing the same problem, it said i downloaded ics and installed it but nothing has changed, same version and everything, any help would be appreciated

Maybe you guys can get with the people that upgraded to ics and want to go back to GB..maybe work out some trade

Did you check to see if you can pull the software update again on the phone? Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

If no update is available I suggest performing a hard reset http://bit.ly/tQ0nkT. This should push the update.

Did you ever get your phone to upgrade to ICS? If not, would you like to trade it for a Razr that has been upgraded?
