I just upgraded from the original Droid 855 to a Razr Maxx. Previously my contacts and phone memory would be available once paired. Now I can pair and make calls from the cars stored directory which I created from the 855, but I can't access anything on the Razr. I can't import nor access anything else on the phone.
Searching I see this is a common problem. any ideas on what to do or who to talk to to get this looked into?
So after doing a lot more searching I found a number of similar complaints about this issue.
I did happen to find somewhat of a solution too. A few people posted that they deleted their pairing and repaired and the problem went away. I tried this and it worked. I deleted my phone from the car and then repaired. That said, it toook three tries for it to work.
Not sure if it's a timing issue when pairing or a profile issue. It always allowed me to make a call, just not access any of the phone contacts. Maybe it had trouble figuring out which profile to use (OBEX)?
In any event it's working now although not entirely correclty. Sometimes it will find recent calls(memory) right away, sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes it will find the phonebook right away sometimes not.
Better than before but still not exactly right.
