Can anyone tell me how to get my 3G signal back up?  I have been trying to upload a few pictures to FB and it keeps failing, and I just noticed the 3G isn't on.  I have been only getting my emails when I am at home, but in front of a computer all day so hadnt notice my phone is getting.  I did check the CDMA/lte as suggested above (I have never messed with that) and it is on.  It has worked fine in the past.  Thanks

Connie you really should start a new thread but, have you tried what I suggested above:

Do this:
Menu-->Settings-->Data Manager <--in there is Data Enabled checked? It should be. I'd also turn on Background Data if it isn't. Also, I have Data Saver disabled/unchecked.

What is the "Fail" or error message you're getting? Might also try a reboot - Press and hold the volume down rocker then hold the power button, the phone will restart.

Having the same problem on my razr maxx.  Every few minutes I get a status error that background data is not enabled.  I called verizon and they could not find a setting or a solution for this and have given me the motorola number for level two service and no luck so far.  There is no more 'data enabled' option to check or uncheck that anyone can find.  not sure if this was forgotten?  I have been on the phone all day with tech support to no avail.
