I've had the RAZR about 3 weeks. I setup my work e-mail under the MAIL app and it worked fine until today when I had to change my password. Then I got a "Could not connect to server". Since Google (GMAIL) is our service provider someone here told me just to add the account to that app. The problem is I had my personal gmail account there. How can I remove my personal GMAIL account. I do not want to merge the two accounts in any way.

I understand needing separate email accounts, especially for work emails. With Android devices, the original Gmail account can only be removed by hard reset. Steps: http://bit.ly/PGGi5g. Keep me posted if you need further assistance.

You can add additional Gmail accounts to the Gmail app without merging them. I have three Gmail accounts, all under the Gmail app, and none are merged. They are are all separate. Your personal account can still be the phone's main account and the business one an added account.
