After realizing that there wasn't going to be any help here I did a lot of research and found that the RAZR with KitKat is no longer supported through Facebook and will not be. Apparently if it was synced before the update (like mine was before the replacement phone) your fine, if not it will not sync without downloading another app to do it. I downloaded "sync.me" which seems to work pretty well. It's unfortunate, but it's the only way.
Sincerely,

I know it's important to have those contacts transferred customer123456789. Sorry to hear of your difficulties. What app were you using to backup your contacts on the previous device? We recommend transferring the contacts first. Once they are active, you should be able to sync to Facebook. For contacts and pictures, we recommend Backup Assistant Plus/Verizon Cloud. http://vz.to/1q27kuU

I had all of my contacts backed up through back up assistant plus for that reason before I got the new phone. I had the previous phone sync that information every day.

customer123456789,
Roger that! Are you able to view all of the saved contacts online? Did most contacts transfer over to the new device?

Ah! Thanks for clarifying, customer123456789. The contact information syncroinized through Backup Assistant doesn't sync the Facebook pictures or profile information. Have you already downloaded the Facebook application to your phone? Once it's downloaded, make sure to go into the application's settings and confirm that you've turned on the Sync Contacts option for Facebook to bring over pictures. Once the Facebook contacts are synced to your phone as well, you can link the contacts together with the Backup Assistant contacts by following the steps at http://vz.to/WaTxov.

We are having the same problem. I tried following the steps listed but when I go to the Facebook app there is no "Sync Contacts" option that I can see. There is a "Sync Photos" option. Is this the one to use?

I believe you must go to Settings-Sync
Then go to the Facebook section and it should be a menu to sync contacts.
I have not used your make of device for awhile so I am trying to remember. The clicking the app does not bring up sync options.
Good Luck

Actually, you go to Settings > Accounts > Facebook. Then it shows "Sync". Select "Menu". Now it shows "Sync now" and "Remove Account". There is now selection for "Sync Contacts". Selecting "Sync now" does not sync contact pictures.

Sorry I made a typo. Where I said "There is now selection for Sync Contacts" I should have typed "There is NO selection for "Sync Contacts".
I agree with you. It shouldn't be this hard.

I guess maybe i'm not being real clear? On my old phone when I synced my contacts from facebook the profile picture on each contact was there profile picture on facebook, if they changed their profile picture the photo on the contact list would change. I just found this to be very helpful instead of having no picture for the contact. Is there anyway to do this again.

You are perfectly clear. We have the same problem you do. In previous versions of Android you could sync your Facebook contacts. In this version it appears Goggle has taken away that option. I say this because it is very obvious how to do this on our old Droid Bionic. I guess no one wants to say this feature has been taken away.

customer123456789,
I can understand your concern. If you already have the Facebook application downloaded onto the phone please try these steps, Open Facebook, Tap on the Three lines in the upper right of the application, Scroll down until you get to App Settings, Tap on that, Scroll to the bottom of this page and tap on Sync Contact, in here you should be able to select what sync method you would like your phone to do.

Customer Support, what you are describing is how to sync photos from your phone to Facebook. I just received a replacement razr and am having the same problem as the others. My Facebook contacts will not show up in my phones contact list where they did before my replacement. My old phone was running kitkat and was fine. The problem is getting Facebook contacts and profile pictures to sync with the phone, not the other way around.

If I follow your directions when I scroll down to the bottom of the page there is no "Sync Contacts" selection. This is the problem. Everyone says this is the way to do this, but did YOU actually try to do it this way?
In previous versions the "Sync Contacts" was not in the app, but was in the Android "Accounts" tab. That is no longer the case. So please stop telling us to do it this way. It does NOT work!!!

Mike-P,
I agree! It should not be this hard to sync contacts. Have you tried removing and redownloading the Facebook application? When you delete the Facebook application and you readd it and try to sign in it will present you with the option to sync contacts.
