I called my friend and while talking on the phone received a call in call waiting. When I went to switch over, I realized my screen wouldn't turn on. For the past 5 hours it will chime when I receive a text or email but will not light up or will intermittently light up and not allow me to unlock it. It has not been wet or have any other reason to not function. What do I do?

Try searching this community for the alternative to a battery pull on the DROID Razr Maxx. I believe it is holding the power button and the volume down button at the same time for ten seconds and release for a forced shutdown of the phone. Don't quote me on it. I don't have the phone and I going from memory of earlier posts in this community forum.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Hi there Cablekat!
That touch screen is a pretty important part of your touch phone! I'm sorry it isn't lighting up for you.
Ann154 was spot on with the soft reset, you can follow the steps here:

If that doesn't fix it though, let us know.
Thanks,
