Does anyone else constantly get this in your notification bar? I already have it set to Swype, but it never goes away.

It is a "feature" added in the Android Operating system when Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) has introduced. It replaces the long press in the text box to get the same menu to change the input method. I hardly notice it anymore on my Nexus.

Yes ... frankly, I think it's a BUG ... between SWYPE & Keyboard Input Selection. I get it all the time using WhatsApp .. And in fact, when in WhatsApp, the Swype dictionary is all screwed up - it highlights words with wierd UpperCase letters embedded ... e.g., 'testing' displays as 'tesTing' ... for the life of me I can't get it to resort to the native Swype disctiionary - even after switching to Keyboard and back to Swype input method ..
edit: Good point Ann ... but there is still something else going on per what I wrote above.

I have to say that does sound odd, Cody. Fortunately I don't have Swype on the Nexus or Tbolt and haven't seena ssimilar situation myself.

I too use Swype and get the caps embedded in words. I thought it was something I was doing wrong like momentarily breaking contact with the screen, or whatever. According to the Sywpe Beta forums there are problems with auto spacing, capitalization, etc. with Jelly Bean (I have a RAZR M). So if I break contact mid-word and Swype capitalizes, but does not auto space this would explain the mid-word capitals. Auto spacing also does not always work when typing a period to end a sentence. In other words a bug as you suggested.

I get the same thing! constantly get a notification bar icon asking me to select input method. I have tried selecting everything I can think of but it keeps coming back. Does anyone out there have an idea what this is about?
