Hi everyone !
I've just got my droid Razr about 2 months ago and I noticed about a week later after that that there are these dark spots on my screen.
They were all around the screen some few pixels wide some like 20 pixels. They only appear on a black or dark screen and only when it is dark around like a dark room. If there is any light in the room you wont be able to see them. But when I was watching a dark movie at night they were very noticeable and it bothered me that such a expensive phone has something like that.
I went back to the store and told them about it. The guy took it back to a dark room and came back with a surpised face.. Then told the other lady working there to come check it out..
Because it was in the first 14 days they took it back and gave a new Droid Razr. After about 2 weeks or so the spots appeared again. This time they are slightly smaller but its much more of them about 20+ spots.
After doing some research i found out it is a common problem for that phone and it is because of they way the screen was made. Common problems were found on the galaxy 2 and the new droid Maxx.
So after a while i decided to go back to the store and see if i could return it, because like i said before its a expensive phone and it shouldn't have any even if minor issues.
After that i felt that because my 14 day return policy was gone no one really gave a shit at verizon.
I went there like twice and the second time they said because they arnt a coporate store they cant do anything with it. So i Took it to a the closest Corporate store and talked to this older guy working there. The same as in the first store i felt like he doesnt realy care but he took the phone and took it to a very light up room after a while came back and said he cant see anything. I have a combination lock on my phone set up on one minute so i knew he didnt even look at the phone because it took longer then a minute between the time I closed the phone and he took it to the room. I told him it has to be dark for him to see it but he decided to take it in a very light up room. He said he didnt see anything and that there is nothing i can do about it. Then he said some blabs about customer services and some other blabs of them not beeing able to take me for a word if they cant see it.
So i decided to write here and ask for any suggestions what should i do. I just transfered from atnt to verizon and im very unhappy on the way the people i have talked been acting since the day my 14 day trial was over.
Thanks in advance for any reply ! and sry if there are any grammer mistakes. English isnt one of my strongest languages.

I googled this just like you said, this is a known issue on not only the Razr, but also the Nexus and the Galaxy s2, supposedly caused by the super amoled screen. I wouldn't watch a video in a dark room because of the eye strain it causes, however I tried to duplicate it in a dark room and couldn't see any splotches in dark areas on my Razr Maxx, and I was really straining to see them. Unfortunately if you're over the 14 day period they've got you locked into a contract and they won't let you negotiate much. You can continue to state your dissatisfaction, and perhaps they will allow you to exchange for a different handset. I know this is hindsight, but if you shop at a vzw store in the future be sure it is a corporate store, as the independent dealers do not necessarily comply with the same set of rules as VZW corporate stores do.

I've had two Razr's and both of them had these spots, one was worse than other so you are not alone.Doesn't affect phone in anyway as far as I can tell..I'll live with it no big deal!
